About the Data

This is part 2 of the Data Exploration project. Part 1 was conducted using SQL Server to obtain a broader understanding of the dataset and identify possible areas of interest. Of the areas of interest identified in part 1, 4 were further invesitigated through the use of Tableau visualisations. Methodology

The process of creating the Tableau dashboard can be divided into 3 areas:
  • Importing the data
  • Building the individual visualisations
  • Building the dashboard
The 4 areas of interest explored along with the corresponding visualisations used are as follows:
  • Global Numbers - Table
  • Total infected by country - Time series
  • Total death count per continent - Column chart
  • Percent population infected by country - Map
